​​By booking any of ​our services at Kay's Beauty Studio, you are agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions:


Please note that we cannot wait to welcome you to the salon, however must have these policies in place to provide a safe and professional environment at all times. 

We will not tolerate any demands or abusive behaviour towards our staff. 

Failure to comply with our policies may result in refusal of service with late cancellation fees applied. 

 

Sickness Policy

Although Covid now seems like something we speak of in the past, we would still like to protect our staff and other clients from catching any viruses within the salon. This is why we ask that you remain to respectfully abide by the following:


1. Regardless of Covid status, please do not enter the salon if you are showing any flu-like symptoms,. This includes but is not limited to cough, cold, sore throat, high temperature, sickness, upset tummy.


2. If you know that you or somebody within your household has tested positive with Covid within the previous 10 days before your appointment, you will be required to reschedule.


3. Please do not be offended if you are asked to wear a mask for close contact services. This is for hygiene purposes and your therapist will also be wearing one. 


Thank you for your understanding and support.

Appointments and Timings

Quite often we are working to a tight schedule, therefore if you arrive late for your appointment, your treatment may have to be shortened. If you are running too late or are booked in for a service that cannot be shortened, we may have to reschedule your appointment and late cancellation fees will apply.


Please only enter the salon at your appointment time. There is a small waiting area in the porch outside the salon if you arrive early. Once we are ready for you a member of our team will welcome you in. 


Please check appointment timings when booking and ensure you have enough time for your appointment. Putting your therapist under unnecessary pressure may affect your treatment results. 


Appointments are available for ladies only. 

Cancellations and Amendments

When you book online you will be asked for a payment card to be held on your Fresha account. This is to protect us from last minute cancellations and no shows. By booking an appointment with us you agree to our following cancellation policy:


If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment: 50% of original treatment fee will be charged.


If you cancel within 12 hours or fail to attend your appointment: 100% of original treatment fee will be charged. 


You will be required to pay these charges immediately - future bookings with us cannot be made until these have been paid. 


If you are booked in for more than one service and cancel or change one of them (eg. you were booked in for a gel removal and manicure but you no longer require the removal), it will be considered a cancellation and charges will apply. 

Payments

We only take bookings via Fresha,  our online booking system. This will ask for your card details upon booking for our cancellation policy.


If you have purchased a course of treatments or would like to use a gift voucher, you must still book this way with your card details. Payment will only be taken in salon at your appointment, excluding circumstances where we need to charge your card due to late cancellation. If you would like to pay with another card within the salon, this can be done. 


If you'd rather book your appointments directly via the salon, this can be arranged if full payment is made upfront, where cancellation fees will still apply. 


Refunds

All products purchased from Kay's Beauty Studio may be returned within 28 days if they are unused and still in their original packaging. 


Due to the nature of services provided, all beauty treatments are non-refundable. If you are unhappy with the results from your treatment please notify us within 24 hours to allow us to rectify this for you. Any rectifications must be completed within 5 days from original treatment unless otherwise agreed by management, 


We will not be held responsible for any accidents or wear and tear following your treatments which have occurred after 5 days, nor will we be held responsible if you have failed to follow necessary aftercare advice. 


If there are any issues following your service within the 5 day period, you must contact us straight away. We may invite you back to the salon free of charge under management discretion for rectification - this will not cover any changes from original treatment (eg colour changes or lash extension length)

Medical Conditions and Medication

You must inform the salon of any allergies, medical conditions or change of medical history that you are aware of. You must notify Kay's Beauty Studio Ltd. in writing of this information and if any other personal or medical information changes in the future. Kay's Beauty Studio Ltd. will not be held liable of any consequences occurred from your failure to provide this information upon arrival to your visit.


The above also applies for medication. If you are currently on any medication for health reasons, it is paramount you inform your therapist. You may be contra-indicated to your appointment which may then occur dissatisfactory results or reactions if not communicated in advance. 


Children, Pets and Guests

Patch tests are non-negotiable, and are required for every client who has never received

No children under 16 (Excluding Princess Ppolish and ear piercing), pets or guests are permitted within the salon. This is not only for insurance purposes, but also to ensure a tranquil environment for all of our guests. This includes babies. 

Children must be aged 5-12 to book in for a Princess Polish and must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Parent/Guardian will also be required to complete a consent form before any treatment is carried out. If you also wish to receive a treatment, this must be carried out on anoher  occasion where child isn't present. This also applies to children's ear piercing, which the minimum age is 10 years old.

Patch testing

Patch tests are non-negotiable, and are required for every client who has never received a lash or brow tint, lash extensions or a lash lift with us before or within the last 3 months, or have had any change to their medical history.


Patch tests must be performed a minimum of 24 hours before your appointment and must be arranged prior to your arrival, If you have failed to attend for a patch test your appointment may be cancelled with late cancellation fees applied. 

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers can be purchased within the salon or via email where they will be posted out to the requested address. 


Gift vouchers are strictly valid for 6 months only, unless purchased on a promotion, where alternative conditions will apply (usually expiry date will be when promotion expires)


Gift vouchers are non refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Courses

Treatment courses are available to purchase within the salon, where you pay up front for 5 services and receive the 6th free of charge. These must be purchases for the same 5 treatments and cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash value. 


Treatment courses will no longer be valid after 1 year from purchase and cannot be exchanged for another service unless previously agreed by the salon manager. 


Treatments cannot be split and one service must be redeemed within one visit (eg. a course of gel removal and manicure treatments cannot be split into a gel removal and a manicure on separate occasions).

Personal Belongings

Kay's Beauty Studio will not be held responsible for the loss of any jewellery or personal items removed before or during treatments.


We recommend that you leave any jewellery or personal items at home.


Please also be aware that cars parked in our car park are parked at the owner's risk.

Infills

Acrylic Nails and Lash Infills must be booked no further than 3 weeks apart. If this is not adhered to there will be a £25 surcharge for both treatments, due to the longer appointment timings and more product needed. If there is not sufficient time for the longer appointment, you may be turned away for your appointment with cancellation fees applied. 


Please note - we will only infill work that has been completed within our salon. Any services that have been received elsewhere must be removed and reapplied, rather than infilled. (Including BIAB). This must be booked ahead accordingly.

Nail Art

Nail art must be booked in advance to ensure there is enough time. Pricing of nail art varies due to the difficulty and products used. If you would like a quote ahead of your appointment please get in touch. Nail art must be agreed by your nail technician before proceeding. 


If you change your mind on any colours/designs once it has been applied, you will need to book another appointment for them to be redone which wiill be charged accordingly,
